Identify Your Core Values

Sandy Lee Coaching Blog Post

Did you ever think about what guides your actions, desires and decisions in everyday life? Have you ever explored your Core Values and investigate how they may or may not govern your life? Identify your core values and if you don’t know how or understand what they are a Life Coach will be able to help with that.

How can you live the fullest life that God desires for you if you can’t name and understand your true Core Values that come from God? If you are not using these values as a guide for living in all things then how are you going to be able to measure if you are truly living up to all God has for you?

"Make sure of your commitment to Jesus Christ, and seek to follow Him every day. Don’t be swayed by the false values and goals of this world, but put Christ and His will first in everything you do." -Billy Graham

When you know what guides you at your core it is your baseline for all of your decisions. You are able to learn to say no to what doesn’t line up in agreement with what your God-given natural values are. The beautiful thing is what happens when you are clear about what you need to say no to. You become clear about what you want to say yes to and that yes is exciting because you are living in alignment with who God designed you to be. In time your no’s become clearer and your yes’s become bigger. The result from this is a full life not based on the worlds values but on God’s.

There was a time I knew I wasn’t supposed to be volunteering for a local charity. I knew I wasn’t good at what I was needed to do. I ended up not being able to serve the way I wanted to. I felt dissatisfied, guilty and burdened. Once I had my a-ha about this I knew how to adjust the way I was volunteering. Now I coach classes at no cost to young women who can really use the tools I have to understand who God destined them to be. They learn how to have a close relationship with Jesus and to live according to Gods wiring for them. Now these women get my best and I am living in alignment with the core values that are a perfect fit for me. Now my yes is constantly getting bigger and my no’s are clearer.

Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
